Councillor Ruth Brown welcomes new greener bins for Royston town centre

Royston Liberal Democrats welcome the introduction of several new recycling bins in Royston town centre this week. The new bins make it easier for everyone to reduce landfill when out and about just as we do at home. Cans, plastic bottles, glass & paper are placed in a single compartment of the bin which will be collected separately by NHDC (North Hertfordshire District Council) and sorted for recycling. We’re encouraging everyone to use the new bins as part of our commitment to making Royston a greener town.

The new bins have been provided by NHDC through the Royston Town Centre Working Party lead by Royston Liberal Democrat Councillor Ruth Brown. Ruth commented “We’re delighted that Royston Town Council supported this NHDC initiative as these bins make it really easy for visitors and shoppers to both keep Royston tidy and increase recycling.”

Royston Liberal Democrats campaign for a greener Royston through initiatives like this, our support for Royston becoming a Sustainable Travel Town and our support for a Plastic Free Royston.
