Ruth Brown, Liberal Democrat candidate for North Hertfordshire District Council

Ruth has lived in Royston for nearly 30 years and her children attended local schools. She was parent governor of Tannery Drift First School and is active in many local clubs and community activities including currently being Vice-Chair of Royston & District Twinning Association with responsibility for the link with Groβalmerode. She was co-pastor of Trinity Life Church, Royston for 15 years and am still an active member. All of these roles have given her insight into the local community she wishes to serve.

She is passionate about fairness in society as well as public services and believe that everyone deserves to have an equal chance in life, starting in school with every child deserving to have a good/outstanding school place whatever their background or family income.

If elected to North Herts District Council Ruth would work constructively and collaboratively with officers and other representatives of the local community to promote a safe, open and inclusive environment in which all residents can participate.
